Project Overview

The Paint Shop Extension Project aimed to increase production capacity from 5,000 cars/year to 50,000 cars/year through four key phases that included structural, mechanical, and automation upgrades.

Phase 1 – Structural and Mechanical Works

Included the design, fabrication, and erection of a new steel structure, supply and installation of chequered plates, and roller beds with full connection to the existing paint shop system.

Phase 2 – Painting System Upgrade

Involved dismantling the old painting cabins, installing new modern cabins, and implementing new control panels alongside complete electromechanical works to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Phase 3 – Mezzanine Construction

Focused on the design, fabrication, and erection of a second mezzanine steel structure (over-deck type) to expand operational and maintenance access areas.

Phase 4 – Robotics Integration

Execution of 10 new automated painting robots with all necessary electromechanical systems to achieve high precision and productivity.
